Overview:  When Stewart Boedecker and Athena Pappas started Boedecker Cellars in 2003, they decided to stay hands on with every aspect of the winery, becoming winemakers, cellar rats, sales 'execs', and event hosts. Their philosophy revolves around staying true to themselves and focusing all their energy on creating great Pinot Noir wines that reflect the true character of Oregon's vineyards. Fanatical attention to detail, minimal intervention, harvesting acre by acre, fermenting in small lots, and giving attention to each barrel during elevage and blending lead to wines with a distinct sense of place and time.

The two signature Pinot Noir bottlings from Boedecker Cellars reflect the differences in winemaker palates while remaining distinctly 'Oregon'. They showcase the masculine and the feminine; Stewart's love of classically styled Pinot Noir wines and Athen's nod to a more New World style; wines expressive of the vintners, the vineyards, and the vintage.
